So last night me and the SO were at Walmart when I noticed a Christmas tree set up at customer service. There were a bunch of tags hanging on it with a bunch of kids names, along with their age and clothing size... There was a poster next to it for the Salvation Army, and it said that you could pick a child's name from the tree and buy a gift for them and leave it under the tree for the Salvation Army to pick it up for those kids... It literally broke my heart to think that so many kids aren't fortunate enough to be able to wake up to at least one gift on Christmas morning. I stood there and actually cried (pregnancy hormones didn't help) And I know that Christmas isn't all about toys or gifts, but come on. For those kids it would mean so much to just receive one on that day. So we picked out two kids, a little boy and a little girl, age 7 and 4, and we're going to buy them one toy and an outfit. If I were able to, I'd pick a bunch of kids names from the tree and buy for all of them, but it makes me feel good knowing that we're at least able to do something for those two children. I hope that this is a thing that all Walmart's are doing. I love the idea and I'm hoping that every one of those kid's names get picked from that tree 🎄
