Question: I'm about to start going to dr apts every 2 weeks since I'm 28 weeks. What happens at these apts? Just check heart and measure everything? Or is this a vaginal check? Anyone know?
Trigger. Lost baby Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
Everyone getting their cervix checked and I'm just here like "I haven't got mine checked since 22 weeks and I'm not checking it again until I'm 40 weeks and in active labor. Ain't about to be unnecessarily putting your fingers in my vag." Amen. God is good.
What all happens at the 36 week check up?
37 weeks on Wednesday & i have my regular doctors apt. He hasn't, however, he has yet to check to see if I'm effacing at all. When did you girls start get checked?
Did anyone's doctors start checking for dilation at 36 weeks, or do they wait until later apts to check for that?

Thanks ladies! @amirxalyak @susiecute I'm guessing when they increase to the once a week, she will start checking vaginally for dilation and stuff?

oh wow thats fast i barely went to my first two week appt last tuesday and im 35 wks... guess it depends on the doctor

@ethansmommy12192015, when I went this week for glucose, she wanted to start at 29-30 weeks for every 2 weeks but that falls on thanksgiving day so I start my every 2 weeks on dec 3 and I'll be 30w4d.

I've been going to my two weeks since I'm high risk all they do is check your weight the babies heart beat and blood pressure . She checked the fluid level last week but that was random from want she usually does

I started weekly at 20 weeks and 2 times a week at 28 weeks. At my 2 week appointments they did a small ultrasound, weight, bp etc. Now I'm doing NST's twice a week, ultrasounds weekly and ob checks weekly. Along with bp and weight once a week. Also have diabetic appointments weekly.
