I only got 3 ultrasounds. 1 to confirm the pregnancy 2 the first trimester screening (which is optional) & my last was the anatomy ultrasound

@mimiz, the doctor I had wasn't that good and always rushed me along so it makes sense that she didn't schedule a 3rd. The new doctor I have is good and he'll probably do one.

@arijane316, I know some doctors won't do it because of the potential risk that ultrasounds pose even though it's not proven...

That's just someone's made up shit. just ask your new doctor to do another one since it's been so long

@mimiz, I was told that when they rush you it's not exactly a bad thing... it just means everything is good and there are no concerns which makes you less of a priority than high risk pregnancies, but I still felt I was too rushed... I hated it.

Yea I'm in high risk OB I had a fancy word hematoma my first pregnancy and I bled heavily from 9-15 weeks and spotted some days lightly after that on my first pregnancy I think it was just bleeding out on its own on top of that I have a bicornuate uterus we don't know if it's fully separated in the middle which I doubt it doesn't look that way but this time around for my us they call it normal idk why but they still count me high risk since I went into preterm labor at 20 weeks

the average number is three for healthy pregnancies. I'm a midwife and usually schedule 3 for healthy pregnancies once to confirm around 8-10 weeks, anatomy scan at 20 and measurements around 35. high risk I schedule once every 4 weeks. however, since I am pregnant and going through my own high risk pregnancy my personal midwife isn't too concerned because all though I am high risk (other than a polyp) everything has progressed well and I've only had 6 ultrasounds (4 of which were between 5-15w). totally depends on your pregnancy and dr.

Maybe that's why I get one everytime I also had a polyp last pregnancy @rainbowbaby2016

@rainbowbaby2016, they did the measurements at the anatomy scan but I'm definitely going to talk to my new doctor about it

the anatomy scan is measurements and they do the 35 week one to check measurements again before you go full term
