when did you ladies take the group B strep test & does it hurt?

My doctor said I have to do it at my next appointment, I'll be 36 weeks. Not looking forward to it lol

I can't remember when they did mine but I remember it didn't hurt. If I remember correctly it was just a cheek swab

my OB already did my group B test. I'll be 32 weeks Tomarrow.

oops, I remember now. They just swab around your cervix...even if you are strep B positive, there's nothing to worry about they give you anti biotic every four hours. I wasn't with my daughter, but I was with my son.

It doesn't hurt at all. Super quick and easy

mine was at my 34 week checkup I believe. the test for me was they swabbed my vagina and around my rectum/butthole whatever you wanna call it. 😂 Not in, just around. painless.

Cheek swab? You're lucky. @beautifuldisaster3 For me, it was a vaginal and anal swap with a q tip. My gyno did it.

also what was said above. I tested positive with my first, not sure if I am positive this time, they just gave me antibiotics while in labor, so don't worry too bad if you do test positive.

I had so many things done to me where I was a higher risk with my son....I can't remember what the hell went to what...lol. my son is 5 1/2 months old and we are doing the pregnancy thing all over again. so I am quite sure I will get a refresher lol

I just got it yesterday..37weeks

Looks like late third trimester is when we have to have this done.
