Are you measuring further along or the baby? Both are possible but your due date still be correct. Some babies are just bigger than others. They usually won't change your due date after your initial dating scan.
well originally at my first ob appt. i was supposed to be 13 weeks 3 days and baby only measured 9 weeks 6 days. Now the baby is measuring 16 weeks. And I am only supposed to be 14 weeks. @soontobemomof5
@jk0516, The baby could have definitely had a growth spurt but that seems a bit much. Did the same person do both scans? I know at my anatomy scan my little girl measured a week ahead than what I am but they are sticking with my original due date. My youngest each ultrasound showed him measuring at a different date a much as 3 weeks ahead supposedly so they induced me but he wasn't even over 8 lbs so sometimes ultrasounds aren't exactly accurate.
@soontobemomof5, no my OB did the first. And were surprised when i only measured 9+6 instead of 13+3. And it just made me wonder. I had went to the ER today due to server vomiting. And when they checked on the baby it measured 16 weeks. Should I talk to my OB about it next week at my appt? I just need to know if the baby is just bigger or actually farther along.
@jk0516, I would definitely mention it to your Dr but they could have been off at the ER. Generally your most accurate ultrasounds are done through your Dr. At the ER they are really only checking to make sure the babies vitals are ok.

@jk0516, Also you could have ovulated later which is why you wouldn't have been as far along as they thought.
