I am new here but was wondering if anyone has been in a situation similar to mine. I was on the depo shot for several years and decided to discontinue it this year in hopes of becoming pregnant. My last shot was in March so it "ran out" in June. I have had two period since then that were 39 days apart. They were also much lighter than my periods before depo were. Should I be ovulating since my periods returned? If anyone got pregnant after depo how long did it take?

I was on depo for two and a half years then I went off of it and went on the pill for a year and then got pregnant as soon as I got off the pill. Like the same month. I think the pill made everything regular for me.
@hopeful_mommy, I was on depo 2 years then had the copper IUD 3 years then the mirena IUD 6 years. I had it out when we wanted to concieve and it took me 8 months, I thought I wasn't going to because my periods were more like spotting and would only last 3 days. I used a fertility app and we'd make sure we'd get down to baby making on my fertile days. I was also 31 and I knew it wouldn't be as easy as when I was in my 20s and I was on different BC for years. It took some time but I got my beautiful baby. its going to take at least a few months. good luck!
i had been on depo since i had my son back in 2010. i never missed my shot. i went in may to go get my shot and thats when we found out we were pregnant. shocked but a blessing💙
I took depo and that shot messed my body up so badly. I stopped in 2002 after one year and I didn't get pregnant until 2007. some get pregnant right away though. My periods were regular and I had testing done within those years and finally in Jan 2007 I conceived my son.
idk if it is the same for you but I took depo for 5years and it took me over 8 years to get preg.
I took depo for 6 months I took my last shot in September 2012, and I haven't have but 2 periods since. I am also trying to get pregnant with no success yet.
