Hello I'm Rachel, I'm 19 and a FTM of a little boy named Mason Wayde((due 01-01-2016).

Now to my story. This is what happen at the appointment Thursday, June 25th... A lot was going on, first a normal ultrasound and was told fine, then I went to go wait to schedule for a follow up then the heart breaking news got told to me and had me curled up in codys(LO father/my fiancé) arms crying, there's a lot of fluid in the baby's neck skin like the other doctor(normal ob)measured a 6.9((really bad)week before on Friday the 19th) but then today at a different ob they measured 3.4((still bad but better)last week Thursday the 25th), idk how nearly a week makes a giant drop of 3.5.. but now have to do all these blood work tests to see why and if the baby will even make it...but they put me as high risk so I have to be extra careful and shit or I can have a miscarriage even faster, if I even have one.. If any part of the test comes back positive they will take a really really long needle and put it through my stomach and into the baby's sack and pull out some fluid to test it, this test gave me great news but also horrible news. My son tested positive for trisomy 18 and he fights every day for life... However his heart beat is a strong 155-160 beats per minute and always kicking up a storm and seems to be the happiest baby ever and weights the 4oz that he's meant to weight at this stage, however he doesn't measure a 4.5in he actually measures at a 4.2in. All though he has trisomy 18 he's a fighter and I can see it for sure, his bladder has enlarged a lot but at my last appointment it looks as if it's getting smaller and all they could tell was a odd looking left foot((clubbed left foot)) and the rest was perfectly fine((THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU PRAYERS AND LOVE)) the bladder is the black empty space/bubble forming in his body from 10.5 weeks all the way up to 15.5 weeks. Come 18 weeks at the ultrasound they said that the bladder is getting smaller and he's peeing and swallowing 19weeks now and he's still a strong fighting little boy, and I'll continue to help him, he's my son. The last measurements had him measuring at the right size and weight for his size which was 7oz and 5.5inches long. They didn't see ANY heart issues at all just a clubbed foot. But now what has changed farther into the pregnancy, a heart defect showed up and he has 2 VSD's((found that out September 14th). There's so many days I struggle and it just seems so unbearable and makes me get depressed.. I try not showing or ever talking about it because it always seems to dig deeper and cause me to blame myself and beat myself up, it hurts to be so tough and have my own depression but then now with hearing about my son it just makes everything worse, at times I wish I could change things but I've committed myself to staying strong and will fight with him and for him..
