Yes, that is very normal. Your body is going through so many changes right now and there will always be something during pregnancy that will literally make you question everything people have told you and at times cause you to call your nurse. During the 9 months of pregnancy your body is literally shifting all your organs around and making room for this other human being and your vagina is also getting ready. If the pain becomes to severe or you notice that the pain comes and never goes away, consult with your doctor but otherwise, what you're telling me is incredibly normal. @princessjadie

I've only gotten kicked in the ribs maybe twice. he likes to hang out in my hips and only ventures up to my belly button if I'm laying down lol I'm not sure what my baby bump is if he's hanging out so low ;P

I thought it was stretching too! I also feel sharp pains at times in my vagina but I heard that's normal ?

@princessjadie, Kicks and flutters are not painful, or shouldn't be especially in the beginning. You could be experiencing stretching and when you lay down at night and relax is when you notice them because you're in a quiet area and it becomes noticeable. However, if you are concerned about the pain I would suggest consulting with your doctor but I feel as if it's just stretching.

hmmm what do I feel when I feel pains in my stomach ? usually when I'm trying to sleep at night I'm 15 weeks pregnant

@princessjadie, the perfect description I found online. Pregnant women describe their baby's movements as butterflies, nervous twitches, or a tumbling motion. At first, it may be hard to tell whether your baby has moved. Second- and third-time moms are more adept at distinguishing those first baby movements fromgas , hunger pangs, and other internal motions

Flutters feel like butterflies. First kicks are similar to gas bubbles, except I can tell when my gas bubbles pop, which normally leads to a fart. First kicks are soft, yet firm and can EASILY be confused with gas but if you pay close enough attention, you can tell. @princessjadie

and I felt it IN my uterus, not OUTSIDE on my belly, so I know I'm not hallucinating.
thank you @poppys it's so amazing. Are your ribs getting kicked?

Lol I love the first movements. I felt my boy at 11 weeks and it was a solid kick, I was really surprised but after that it was softer kicks. now I feel him everyday. congrats!

well seeing how I've been through this a couple times before I know the difference in feelings that I have in my uterus.@ktwins188
Little man is enjoying kicking me :(
Kicks feel different Anyone else's baby kicks feeling different?
Phantom kicks? Anyone still have phantom movements?
Anterior placenta? I found out yesterday, at my 20 week scan, that I have an anterior placenta and won't feel my baby kick as much due to it. Not until late pregnancy. Anyone else have the same thing? If so, when did you feel your baby kick?
Wat do you guys think of castor oil to kick start labor

Lol thanks. I just have lower back issues so when he faces that way and starts kicking and pushing I want to cry. I feel like I'm having growing pains in my hips but I've only put on about 2 inches so far and that was in the first trimester :) he's going to be about average size I think though. around 7lbs give or take.
