@mrscaldwell6, I did research and find the same thing, along with bigger risks of cysts and endometriosis so we've decided for hubs to get fixed... men have less risks....

Essure is these two coils they insert by the tubes and skin is suppose to grow over it to block it it's a permanent birth control procedure is done at your doctors office quick and just a little camping you go back for an ultrasound to verify it's blocked this pic shows how it blocks

@babycasey, I have been asking my husband to get a vasectomy for the last few years. He wouldn't agree. So, here we are. :). I do think that is the best way to go.

Yea my midwife said there's higher risk for ectopic pregnancy and I had one of those so I hope I don't need to get an emergency c-section so I can get the essure @babycasey

You know @babycasey he's never really given me a concrete answer about why. I just know that this pregnancy was a surprise and it has been very difficult for me to adjust. My husband has been thrilled from day one. I don't think he was ready to give up on having a daughter. I'm not taking any chances. I want to make sure I am covered!!
