Who needs cable when you have netflix, roku, and the interwebs. I watch all my shows 15 mins after it airs on 2 different websites that upload them. Pretty much any show.

My boyfriend works for Comcast so our bill is really cheap like $30 a month for Internet, phone, cable & home security ..my friends all hate us but love coming over & watching all the channels ?

I have been wanting to cut out dish but I recently switched our Internet over to them so I had to sign another 2 year contract. It would cost us $380 to get out of the contract now! Their internet service is crappy too.

I use Netflix. My sister's bf also gave me his username and password for cable so I can watch shows on tv network websites and use the network streaming apps. Some of the tv network websites do not require login info. There is also a way around mtv.com. Choose xfinity as your provider and sign in with Facebook or Twitter and you have full access to the site. Some of the other networks may also have this option, but I haven't tried it on any of them besides mtv.

We got rid of our cable. Husband never used it and I only had it on as back ground noise or I would just record my shows. Netflix & Hulu is just fine with us!

We got rid of cable back in 2011!

Best thing we ever did.

Don't miss it!

We've been cable free almost two years now one of the hardest things I ever had to do lol

I have been w/o cable for about 9-10 months, it was difficult at first cause my mom always kept cable on for us. Now that I am on my own I am glad to not have to spend 60-100 bucks a month. I do miss my internet terribly though

We got rid of it about 2 years ago. Looooove it. We did end up getting an antenna for football and get like 2 channels lol. That's enough for me

I want to get rid of cane too because it so expensive but my hubby won't let me ?

We have the Amazon Fire stick hacked. It's cost us 40 bucks to buy and since hubby is tech savvy it was free to hack. It's so worth it! If you have no clue how to hack it like me lol I believe ppl charge anywhere from $50 to $100 bucks. It's wayyyy cheaper then paying cable it basically pays it self off in one month of a cable bill. Ohh if you want to hack it its available on you tube :)

Get Hulu!! You won't miss cable with Hulu lol

We've never had it, I simply can't justify spending so much money on hundreds of channels of which I'd watch maybe 10...

We have Netflix and Free view, and always been happy with them :)

Over a year now and I'm not sure I'd ever go back! Netflix is only $10 and if we have any shows that we want to watch we have Amazon.

You can download the kodi app on your windows or android devices and watch all your tv shows and movies. You get recent shows like within an hour of them showing. Unlike Netflix which does not have recent seasons or some shows.

I didn't have cable for about 2 years and just had lots DVD movies for the kids, Netflix and Hulu but now we share an apartment with my MIL and she insist on having cable and pays for it but I barely use it only to watch life time. The kids mostly like DVDS and all my shows are on Netflix and Hulu so if it was up to me I would lose the cable.

@dancermom what kind of cable do u have?

This is why I keep my cable. The bundle saves me. I pay 100 a month for cable and Internet and that includes all the HBO channels and the HD receivers and modem.

Unfortunately Teen Mom on MTV.com is only available to cable or satellite subscribers. It is available in Hulu though the following week.

We just cancelled our DirecTV about a week ago. So far, not too bad. We didn't watch much anyway. I do miss Jeopardy though.

Can anyone give info on the Amazon Firestick? I heard info that you can download or buy one with something called Kodi or Codi and also see sports? Hubby is a big hockey and college football fan and we are hoping to find something before August.

$80 for Internet, wifi, and home phone.

TWC.

Stupidly expensive.

It would cost more if I cut the home phone that I don't even really use. Isn't that ridiculous?

I didn't read the comments but we've been living without cable for a couple years.

The Amazon Fire stick

And roku have done wonders for us!

My internet is $60 my cable and internet was $145 all together so I think it will be worth to save $85 a month.

I pay $40 a month for Internet. But they only have one Internet company that reaches our house so they have good rates since there's no competition lol. When we lived in town it was like $80 a month for Internet.

You have to make sure you don't get satellite internet if you cut cable off and want to stream stuff. Otherwise they limit your bandwidth and you can't stream anything hardly without them cutting you off for the rest of the month.

For those that cut their cable how much is your internet? I get a bundle package so it's never been worth the money to cut the cable off.

Well I know I can still watch my Teen Mom on MTV.com like the next day I think!

I got rid of it too! Between Netflix, Amazon Prine, and Hulu we can watch anything we want. We just added HBO Now to the arsenal too (for Game of Thrones & such) and we still spend wayyy less than we did on cable and never watch commercials. Don't regret it at all.

I haven't had cable in a while and I miss it dearly.

We only have Netflix and I swear I can never find anything lol I'm indecisive

We can't afford cable ATM or I def would have my DVR and cable back lol

My internet is $45 I think (so expensive)

We did have a cable deal with internet And DVR for $55 they won't give us that deal again lol

deleted-user

We haven't had cable in around 2 years. We got a Roku and use it to watch Netflix and Hulu and there's also other channels you can get some for free, some you have to pay a bit for but we certainly paid a lot more for cable.

I'm thinking of getting rid of it too. But I'm scared!!! Lol. I need to do something though because I'm so broke.
