Has anyone tested positive for the Group Strep B test?.. because I did..
@lexrexx, You're strong. I'm not too worried now that you guys have calmed my nerves
@february2016, I hope all things go well for me. I'll be 38 weeks Thursday so I just wanna know how things will go
@emteebee, when I was born I had to be hooked up to a bunch of iv's to get antibiotics right away because my mom was never treated while pregnant with me because like I said, 25 years ago it apparently wasn't something they even tested for. But after they gave me the antibiotics I was totally fine. Growing up I was pretty healthy and still am for the most part, no breathing troubles or any health problems related to having the strep b.
they give you meds for it in your iv. the baby is safe that way but if they don't get it to you soon they will take the baby right away to exam it and I guess give it meds for whatever it is.
I did with my 3rd but with my 1st 2 i didnt but don't know bout this one though.
That's all I really care about honestly. You're right. if having her while doing a handstand was the safest way, I'd do it in a heartbeat. @sassymccrum
I can't stand ppl. I don't know why they like to freak an expectant mom out with stories. @amber.s95
I feel ya I wish it could be taken as an antibiotic orally but whatever's safest for the baby ya know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was really worried about it too but my doctor said that the chance of it causing complications is really unlikely because of the antibiotics
Okay cool! I feel a little better now about it. But ppl were saying death and other crazy things and I'm like, "What!!?" @amber.s95
That kinda make me feel a little ugh. I wanted to have free reign on moving around while doing this natural birth but I don't want to lug an iv machine.. then again, I don't want to just lie on the bed either. @sassymccrum
They'll just unplug the iv pump from the wall and let you push the stand around. I labored unmedicated for 10 of my 14 hour labor. it doesn't really change anything other than you have to have the antibiotics
How did the antibiotics make you guys feel? @mamaofangelbaby0610 , @their.bomb.ass.mom
yeah thats all still possible. my son ended up being born via c section but I know babies who have been born to women with strep b and theyre fine
I haven't delivered yet but it's not uncommon to have an IV during delivery anyways...I'm sure you'll be able to move around wherever you'd like just with some extraaaaa stuff to maneuver
@mrskel1, Yes. That's what is is but Google said a whole other thing.
@lexrexx, okay, you give me hope. We're you always healthy? You didn't have anything wrong like breathing problems right?
they don't give you the antibiotics until right before you start pushing or at least they didn't with me and my son was perfectly healthy.
I want to be able to move around so would I be able to do that? I want to do a natural birth as well. Also, we're you guys babies okay afterwards. @mamaofangelbaby0610 @eskawho @sassymccrum @amber.s95
I had it with my first. just gave me antibiotics in an IV during labor.
I tested negative but then got sick during labor so they gave me an antibiotic thankfully because when they tested again it was positive. As long as you get antibiotics during labor the baby and you will be fine.
I did. they just gave me Iv antibiotics while I was in labor.
I did as well....you just need antibiotics during labor because it's dangerous for the baby to pass through the bacteria without it. Nothing we'd ever worry about outside of delivering the baby from my understanding of it
I have and so did my sister...you will just get antibiotics in an IV when you deliver...my sister went naturally and baby was fine...I had a c section and didn't need to have the antibiotics
I was born with strep b, this was back when they didn't test for it during pregnancy. I'm totally healthy now. Hope it all works out for you!
I didn't but I don't think it is very uncommon. Doesn't it just mean they will have to put you on IV antibiotics during labor.
AF due 29th, anyone else?
Hi all AF is due 29th Sept for me feels like forever away. Has anyone tested yet or when do you plan on testing x
TWW!!

Sometimes you know your body better than everyone else. Not every woman will produce high levels of hcg throughout pregnancy some it can take weeks some it can take months don’t trust a blood test don’t trust a urine test trust your heart and when you know it’s times it’s time this doctor was not a gynecologist so he did not give me a quantitative blood test to actually see what my hcg level is at I hope this helps some of you ladies who just feel like giving up and stop testing because of what ...

Thought there was a line ready to pop up on yesterday’s test 😑 today’s test determined THAT was a lie.
Today’s test ➡️ yesterday’s test.
you'll do fine.
