Any mommies on here that were induced, but still didn't opt for the epidural? I go to be induced the 9th and I REALLY don't want to get one. But I hear it makes labor worse being induced 😕
I'm starting to get signs of preeclampsia. Swelling bad in my hands and legs, headaches, and she's not moving as much as they'd like. So they won't let me go over 40w. Which when I go in on the 9th I'll be 39w6d. @kmally
If you don't mind me asking, is there a medical reason they want to induce you? They only induced me because I was "over due" with my first. I wish I would have just waited he probably would have been here within three days after lol! This time I'm waiting!
Lol I'm the same way! Haven't taken anything at all this pregnancy. Definitely look into a natural birthing class (or Bradley Method) in your area! That helped me too. I went in knowing I didn't want an epi and I told them that if I decided I wanted one I would tell them and that I didn't want them asking. They were great about it didn't ask once :)
ahhhh! ok, thank you ladies! @mommi1315 @brownieluv @kmally @soontobemomof5 I was just worried like they'll push it. I have a very high pain tolerance and I'm very mind over matter. If I can talk myself and breath through it I've got my fingers crossed I can do it! @kmally I hope I can do it like that! less meds is best for me! I don't even like taking tylenol 😑 so here's to hoping! 🙈🙊 thank yall so much! I feel better about it all! *FTM*
It just depends on how ur labor is going I was induced and had to get the epidural at only 1cm around noon cause it hurt so bad and the contractions were constant. I only dilated to a 3 by 7pm and had to have a csection any way.😕
As long as your labor isn't long you could definitely do it. The pitocin definitely makes your contractions harder. With my last two I gave in to the epidural after 12 hours of breathing through it and both of those labors lasted almost 24 hours but the first time I was induced I was only in labor for 5 hours so it wasn't bad breathing through the pain.
I would recommend to just go with the flow mama! I've had 3 babies so far and every L&D was different. If things are to intense or the circumstances are stressful keep an open mind and be aware of your comfort levels. Happy mommy will help baby be happy. :)
no its not that bad... u just gotta pray hunni and I understand the nervousness... I'm gonna have a baby hopefully in the next few weeks n I'm gonna try to go natural again...
^^ so it's doable? @mommi1315 I'm just freaking out hearing all these mommies say it's like death being induced without the epidural. I DO NOT want one. And I'm hoping I can keep my mind frame that the pain is only temporary.
I got induced with my first child and no epidural and the labor process was quick... it wasn't that bad until I got those last two contractions before it was time to push...
Wasn't induced but did not have an epidural and my advice would be to get the iv right away idk why but it kind of helped me not get it knowing j cud get it whenever instead of getting the iv then the epidural
