mhm I mean I celebrate the holidays with family, we dress up and have a costume party and eat candy. we do thanksgiving and christmas (we make our own gifts)...but those who go all out and in thinking there are Christian values behind the holidays. wrong. most "Christian" things are actually stollen from the pagens (like the wedding ring) or just have no true religious standing what so ever. like Christmas. infact research has shown Jesus wasn't even born in the winter at all.
idk why bringing up jesus or anything even remotely matters in this situation. so people who don't let their kids go trick or treating is their choice. but I won't let my kids miss out on it.
@breebree, you make no sense..... just because its "fun" doesn't always mean its "good".. js. but its your view, and your choice to do what you want, but these are obviously views for Religious people that actually read or try to follow what the bible says.
I did celebrate such holidays as a kid because you're kind of obligated to do so in schools, like give out Valentine's Day cards, dress up for Halloween, and have secret Santa. It's people's choice to do what they like. I only have two holidays in my religion, only those two I celebrate. (Not trying to debate, just giving my views :)
all hallows eve is a Christian holiday... that's what I'm not understanding. it's your choice to celebrate or not, but the meaning behind celebrating Halloween is a Christian one.
okay, we all have our own beliefs. I'm not dissing yours. my church participated in handing out candy to children in celebration of all Hallows day. it's okay for you to believe it's not ok, but Christians do celebrate this tradition

it shouldnt matter if its in the bible or not. it's fun for the kids so that's all that matters. Christmas is fun watching the kids open up gifts.

@theeonlyjeni, its not Christian, its not in the bible. Christians took it from pagens.
