Question for women who had the arm implant birth control, I just recently got mine removed (Tuesday) & was wondering when your period started back up. I'm worried I'll start mine while out in public or worse while I'm working (I work alone on 3rd shift so no one there to cover me if it happens) I got the implant in February 6th bled for a month exactly & then since March haven't had one. Any advice?!

@blessedmom, for me it made me gain a ton of weight. When I had my son I weighted 190 & as soon as I had him I dropped 20 pounds plus a month of breastfeeding I lost a little more but as soon as I got that birth control in I gained every bit of it back plus more. I'm now 220 & I was eating healthy & working out. I don't recommend it but like I said you gotta try it out for yourself to see how your body will react to it.

@blessedmom, I have it and it works fine, but because of the hormones and me having endometriosis I have to get it out, it lasts for 3yrs, but you have to keep it at least 3-6 mths to really know if it's right this is my second one the last one I had for the full 3 until my surgery now this one for 9 mths

@blessedmom, I only had it 8 months & at first I liked it had no complaints honestly until I started gaining weight like crazy. No matter what I did/ate I would pack on the pounds plus I didn't have a period the whole time I had it & it made me have horrible mood swings as if I was still pregnant. I mean you won't know if it's for you until you get it & see how your body reacts to it. With me it just wasn't working & I don't think I'll be getting a different type of birth control.
