it's a natural instinct for baby to latch. just don't introduce a bottle for 6 weeks so baby gets good at latching. my daughter is 4.5 months and will NOT take a bottle what so ever or a pacifier. we're working on a sippy cup instead she does pretty well with it

I really really hope I do not ever have to supplement! But nipple confusion seems scary and all that. I'm so afraid of baby not ever learning or wanting to latch...

as long as you stick with it and don't supplement unless you absolutely have to then you should be fine.
