I really need advice, I'm 17 and my husband is 20 and we are looking to buy a house in January after I turn 18. Next week we are going to look at what we hope to be the house we end up buying. I am a member of The Seminole Tribe of Florida which long story short gives me a ton of benefits. Basically I'm guaranteed a loan for the house and I'm guaranteed to be able to pay all the bills in the future. But I know that the lady who is gonna show us around the house isn't gonna know any of that and she's just gonna see how young we are and not even take us seriously. I'm worried she's gonna treat us rude just cause we are so young and think that we are wasting her time and I know that her opinion will have an effect on who the seller chooses and I really don't want to mess this up because this house is everything we've been looking for the past year.

@courtneyroberts39, ...Jan is only a few mths away...how long has this house been on the market? Also depends on how fast they are trying to sell. I know the process either way can take a month or so but that means the seller has to be willing to sit on this until u turn 18 b/c they wouldnt b able to get all the needed paperwork done until then. I would try to have ur agent make a deal with the seller maybe u can put money in escrow to ensure the seller ur just waiting until ur 18 so they know ur serious about buying. Ur going to have to b honest with ur agent. Quick question the lady u r meeting with is their agent correct? If so u need to find ur own as well so they can do the work for u. U got this Mama knw its urs and u will get it!

@jhordan23, my mom told me to tell her that I'm pre-approved for the house because the lady emailed me asking saying that the seller wanted to know. if I had said I wasn't pre-approved she would of taken all the time in the world to set up a date for us to go look at the house and she would of sent me through a lot of preccesses. And the thing is, is that I can not buy the house until I turn 18 on Jan 12, I don't get the benefits until the day I turn 18 so what do I do if she asks of I want to make an offer on the house or something? I have no idea how to talk professionally to people and I really don't know what the right things to say are and what to avoid saying
