Am I wrong for thinking that over weight. Parents that have over weight. Children just doesn't Seem right? :/ those kids end of resenting them for letting them get so big like that... I've seen it way to often...

wow...sometimes its genetic ya know? some families just have bad genes/hormones. it is no ones fault sometimes and no-one has the right to judge anyone else.

it's because fast food is cheap and open all the time. some people don't see a problem with eating it for most meals. a girl I used to work with was naturally a little bigger but not over weight because of her diet. she ate a lot of fat food and when she cooked at home it was always fried. she had her baby and she was around 7lbs, completely healthy for a newborn. by the time baby was 5 or 6 months the doctor was telling her baby was fat and needed to lose weight. I know she loves her LO but sometimes you need to make changes in your life to benefit your children. your supposed to set an example for them.

It's true about the genes @rainbowbaby2016 My son is a stick (like his father who is 6'1 150 pounds different dads) and eats all day long everyday like his father. My daughter doesn't eat a lot and she is very chubby. I change her eating habits alone and pretty much give my son what he wants but it doesn't change her size... I also think it has to do with exercise not just the food intake. My daughter spent the summer with me hanging out at the beach and home because I was pregnant and she gained a lot of weight but I make her do indoor exercises didn't see a change... She went to school and has lost a couple of pounds but her lunch I pack is healthy and she exercises there and runs around in the back yard all day long but still no real change in weight

@poppys, also a good point. A family that is deeper in poverty will be likely to eat fast food because it's cheaper. I mean you can get a can of soda cheaper than a bottle of water. Same with healthy foods versus going to a dollar menu

that's true @rhonda.otero , it makes it even easier now because so many people need food stamps to get by but fast food places now accept them. I grew up on food stamps so I know how helpful they are but I think instead of letting people use them for things that are bad for them they should make it easier to use them for things that are healthier.

@poppys, agreed. I had no idea they could be used at fast food.

I guess it's a new thing @rhonda.otero I saw a sign in a couple windows. I don't know what kind of policies or restrictions (if any) are in place for these places but I don't think they should be taking food stamps. sounds like a waste to me.
