So I am 4 months PP and I have been dealing with PP depression since I gave birth. I have been in denial for so long that it has kind of ruined my relationship. My husband is still there for the kids and I, but from a distance now. We have seperated which has kind of made the depression a bit worse. Why is it so hard to deal with this? I know I should seek help from a professional but I'm so afraid of being looked at as a bad mom or have anyone think that I am hurting my kids. I know I'm a great mom but there is still so much anger and sadness in my heart because of my depression. I'm just so tired of crying or feeling like crying all day. How did any of you ladies deal with PPD? Did the medication work and how long did it take for you to feel normal again?

@mylittlejulyprincess, thank you so much. I'm definitely going to look into today and I made an appointment to speak to my doctor.

my doctor always told me... the reason for you having it is your holding something in you. talk to your close family members they'll understand what your feeling ... There's something there.. and for my situation she was right i was disappointed in having a c section I didn't feel like a mom like I didn't deserved my daughter and I felt like my husband didn't have my back in that' decision as I wished he would of instead he got mad... and that killed me after having the baby all it did was make me mad and sad thinking of it... now if your holding something talk about it.. and if not go to a new mommy group around your town there's plenty of mom's feeling this the hardest step is getting there from there I promise you'll feel better :) and if you feel it doesn't work... let medication be your last resort :)

No doctor will judge you or think you're a bad mom. My friend had PPD and medication really helped her. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll feel better! PPD is not a reflection on your ability as a mom. It's just a chemical mess up in your brain. Get some help and feel better. LO will benefit so much from having a happy, healthy mama. And I'm sorry about your husband. People just don't get that depression is not just being moody or feeling blue. It's a serious illness that needs to be treated. Hang in there!! You can feel better! :)

@angsal, not really. i tried talking to my husband about it but he always gave me that i really don't want to hear it look. He thinks I'm just a bitch and that nothing is wrong with me

@angsal, in the beginning I thought it would just go away and here 4 months later I still feel the same way.
