can somebody please tell me why I failed my glucose test. and yet every time I poke my finger to get blood the results say its perfect ? they told me I failed horribly and so they needed me to poke my finger 4 times a day to watch my sugars. but they are actually normal. does that mean I dont have GD.? Im impatient and wanted to see if one of you had been through it before.

I took the 3 hour test and the last level was pretty high... i pricked my finger several times a day every day for weeks up until she was born and it was always perfect

Yeah I had a sip of Pepsi but that is it. I didnt think it would do anything. they said my test turned out worse that time then the time before when I actually ate before the test. @lissa113

He said sometimes like anything else with our bodies it just fluctuates, he told me he wasn't too worried but he'd keep a close eye on it as i got further along because it usually gets worse the closer to delivery you get

I'm diabetic. soda is a huge nono. It has anywhere from 36 to 56 grams of carbs and sugars. it will toss your glucose levels high for hours after. what are your levels running now?

they are running 80 to 90 an hour after eating and they dont want it to go past 130 and then the fasting one comes out between 65 and 85 and its not supposed to go past 95 I guess. I called them last night and told them cause I was worried that that meant my sugar was too low but they told me that was actually perfect that that is where they wanted it. @peachs75

yup right where they should be 60 to 90 fasting and never over 130 after eating. tell them about the soda and they might redo it. i would then just forget about drinking soda

Lol it would be my second time taking it. they already let me redo it once. they just might not worry about it if my levels are good . I dont know I guess ill see in the morning. lol @peachs75

did you eat or anything before 12 the night before your not supposed to and that will give you a failed result
