Need major advice! My daughter randomly started screaming outta nowhere and it wasn't a lot so I just thought she was fussy. She switched to powder formula this past Wednesday and threw it up three times which the dr said was normal at her 2wk appt.. Yesterday she would NOT stop crying. Every hour it seemed she was hungry and barely slept. Finally last night she fell asleep in her swing and did good through the night. Now today I fed her this morning and changed her but she just cried for no reason. I don't know what to do for her really. I'm praying she isn't colic because it's already a lot to handle being a ftm half way around the world from any family.. Lord help me 😭
@gabrielle_d,, yes make sure to warm the bottle. as everyone else mentioned gripe water is great for many different things. It also helps with the acid reflux & constipation. just an fyi. but mainly you just have to soothe them & keep them as comfortable as possible. when you speak to the doctor they will be able to give you some more great tips. Hope your baby feels better soon
@queenof2, what do you do for that? She sleeps fine in her bassinet at night and will sleep in her pack n play or on the sofa. Just yesterday though she's been really fussy and now today. She did fine through the night though. She doesn't spit up much either. All the times she got sick I noticed her bottle wasn't warmed up
it sounds like it could be acid reflux. once you said she would only sleep in the swing I immediately recognized the sign. my daughter has it. she spits up after every feeding. she constantly cries in discomfort. she does not want to lay flat down in her bassinet. Once I put her in the carrier she sleeps longer. That's because she's propped up & the formula doesn't back up into her throat as much.
@gabrielle_d, you're welcome! gripe water is kind of pricey (just under $10 a bottle) but I promise it is worth it
gripe water is magical. it works immediately and says in the package that it helps with colic and fussiness. lol it actually says fussiness. it works best for my daughter if I give her her paci immediately after the gripe water. it calms her down pretty quick.
No I'm getting some today though @reaganmommy2015 she farts a lot but doesn't cry or anything when she does
@queenof2, thank you! It's really hard comforting her when she's screaming so much and nothing I do works :/
