Somebody please tell me if I'm wrong. My bf works from 4-11pm today. His mom is back home for 3 days. She wants to keep the baby over night. But, she said I couldn't stay too. I live with my mom and he lives with his and right now our cars are down so she would come pick the baby up around 5 today. I told him if I couldn't stay, or at least go home when he got there, then the baby couldn't spend the night. He told his mom, now him and everyone else is mad at me telling me to not ask them for anything and they won't ask to keep her again. She'll be 6 days old around midnight tonight. I don't want to be on bad terms with his family but I think they're being a little dramatic

You definitely aren't wrong. Why would they even ask a mother to separate from her baby for even one night when he's less than one week old.
