It's your baby and your choice! I think people just have a misconception of cloth diapering these days, it's much different than it used to be. I'm glad my boyfriend is supportive of the idea, we'll be doing disposables until he can properly fit the diapers and when needed for convenience if we're out and about for long periods of time.

@poppys, Have you watched videos on it? I think my husband was mostly worried about the poop.

@camdensmama, Yep I've heard that too. I've been told that I sound just like a new mom, which I am, wanting to do all this crazyness. Meaning I want to cloth diaper, breastfeed and use a carrier/wrap instead of a stroller.

thanks @mommacee2be but I've tried explaining it all to him but he'd still rather do disposable. he did say I could use them but he's not handling them or cleaning them. we do plan on using disposable when baby goes to daycare (most of the time).

@mommacee2be, get ready for the criticism. I'm using disposable while he's a newborn. Then switching to cloth. And I seriously have had my mind made up since the day I found out I was pregnant and all I've got it grief about it. And people doubting me. Saying it won't last. I'll be using disposables before I know it. Ect!

I'm cloth diapering too. My stepsons mother has a business, sunshine fabric and design is the name.

@poppys, I hope he comes around for you. I just explained to my husband that the ones I was looking at we could use for a long while and we would be saving money in the long run. We do plan on using disposable ones during the newborn stage.

@mamaanderson, I actually ordered from an overseas company on recommendation from a friend of mine. I got each diaper w/microfiber insert for about $5.50.

I'm planning on using cloth diapers too. my husband is anything but thrilled lol.
