I was just reading this article about a 4yo girl that got hit with a play frying pan by a boy being told "he probably likes you" . do you feel like that could have something to do with men thinking its ok to hit women and abuse them and then come back and be like they love you and they are sorry... do you think men actually got that from that ? being told that if you like a girl you hurt her or telling a girl its OK if he hurt you that means he likes you. I just wanted a few opinions.

I think women are taught from a young age that boys ignore you or are mean to you when they really like you. We are taught to play games, "give him space", pretend to be into others or act too busy in order to lure him in or keep his attention. It's rare that a girl is taught the concept that if he's worth your time, you'll know it. That if he loves you, he will make you his world. That he must resprct you. End of story. That being unfaithful is not only unacceptable, but a sign that he's not enough in love with you to even bother. Period. And especially that if he ever hits you, even once, even a little, that crosses a line that cannot be uncrossed and to get as far away as you can as fast as you can. I would love to see our generation teach our daughters how to pick real life partners and not some hot loser who gives them a scrap of attention when it suits him. Let's raise the bar!!

YES ! you said it all! One day when I have a daughter I will teach her and show her her worth and when my son Jabari grows up he will learn and understand that women aren't toys they are precious jewels and you have to earn them. He will respect women ! @ligermama

if a boy is mean to my daughter , if he won't stop and shes tried talking to a parent or teacher then I'll give her permission to do whatever he did back . im not going to play that little game

it's also the mothers because someone I know was told to hit whoever back if they hit you and it doesn't matter if they are a woman or man . that's my I'm going to get to my son early and hes going to learn respect . if he doesn't understand by elementary school I'm going to ask him is he OK with someone hurting his mommy or sister and explain that that could be someone's mommy or sister @alainalovesmommy
