Did anyone here ASK to get induced? My husband works full time leaving at 5:30 a.m. and not returning home until 7 p.m. and I work EVERY morning from 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. I can't help but to worry that I'll go into labor while no one is around because I work early hours at a hotel by myself...

I wouldn't even consider it but we don't even have transportation (I walk to work and home) so Im kinda afraid to risk waiting... on top of the fact that everyone we know is AT LEAST 30 min away
You can if you want but usually the first one takes more then a couple hours the whole process from when contractions start or your water breaking.
My doctors wanted to induce me early for my first baby but I asked to be induced on my due date. The doctor said I needed to ask the on call doctor working the day I wanted to be induced on if he would be willing to deliver my baby on that day and he was fine with it. They probably won't be willing to induce you before your due date though.
I would suggest get an uber ride :) my husband works about 15 minutes away and he has the car with my first my water broke at 1:45 am so he was home
