Hello Moms and Moms-to-be!
Long time member @junesmommy15 has a 4-month old son that was born with an undescended testicle, meaning it hasn’t come down into his scrotum yet. Her pediatrician explained that they will wait until he’s 6 months to see if the testicle will fall down on its own.
If it does not, they will perform surgery to pull it down. Her doctor told her if her son does not have the surgery to correct it, an undescended testicle may cause infertility and testicular cancer as an adult.
She’s very worried about the surgery and she’s praying it comes down on its own. If anyone has experience with something like this, please message her or leave comments below. She would really appreciate it.
Thank you!

It is definitely a good thing! I am just thankful that it is correctable! Thank you!
@babysbump, wow, it's good the doctors found out early and can prepare. Your family will definitely be in our thoughts. ❤️
My 20wk ultrasound showed that my baby has 2 club feet the doctor says he will have to be in casts from the time he is 4wks old til he's 10wks then he will have to have surgery and wear a cast for 3 more weeks. After that he will have to wear braces on his feet until he is 3yrs old I am pretty nervous about the surgery for sure but I know that whatever happens he will be okay! The surgery is for his own good! GOD will be watching over us! And he will be too little to remember it so it won't bother him!
Prayers. Give it all to him girl he's got this!
Praying for you and your baby boy. Have faith and everything will be ok sweetie.
I'm so sorry girl I kinda know what that's like my youngest son braedyn was a week early && the same thing happened I was so scared but luckily it got fixed.. praying all goes well keep us updated
my nephew was born with only one testicle. here recently he had a procedure done to see if maybe it was stuck and couldn't come down and if that was the case they'd have to go in and pull it down. but after an exploration procedure it was determined he was only born with one. he said that he's healthy and that even though he only has 1 he will still be able to have kids one day when he's older. Rylyn did really well during the procedure of course they put them to sleep but once he woke up he was back to trying to run around and chase his mickey mouse around the hospital.
my nephew had the same problem a and it came down on it own
My husband had this surgery done as a child. One of his balls is just slightly smaller than the other. We aren't sure if he's had fertility issues, but we do know that one testicle can completely make up for the other's low sperm production if there are effects. All in all, he's lived a completely normal life and doesn't remember the surgery at all. He's a very handsome, manly guy!!
I had also read that it's normal to be born with one or both testicles undescended that it could take up to a year to correct itself, and yes don't worry too much on the infertility part..the ones you think are likely to be infertile can and usually will surprise you. I'm hoping Keith will be born without any worries since his fathers fathers side has a lot of problems :/
Same with my sons father, ended up dropping on his own and in his fathers family it's usually linked to testicular cancer and infertility. Many good stories here so looks like the outlook is great with the procedure. I'll be praying for your family :)
My friend's son had the same thing. Surgery at 6 months and she was terrified. He is 8 now and perfectly normal.
Praying for you...I know your scared. My nephew had the procedure done a couple of weeks ago. He is 5 years old though...the procedure went fine and it only took him a couple of days to get back to normal
I've read plenty of times that it could take up to a year for the testicles to move into place. I'd go get a second opinion! good luck momma!
My oldest brother had to have a testicle placed in his scrotum surgically. They did his at birth and he is fine.
My older brother had the same issue. He even had children before he had surgery to correct it. Don't worry too much about the fertility part. I'll be praying for your little man. @junesmommy15
dear lord please be with this child put your hands on him an bless him watch over him in this time of need an may it drop so that be does not have surgery an may you be with him an heal him if he does have to have it may it all go well in jesus name amen!
Sending your little one prayers that everything goes well. @junesmommy15
I hope all goes well for you and your baby my baby's father little brother had the same problem and had a successful surgery and is perfectly fine now, wish you all the best @junesmommy15
@junesmommy15, Im gonna go there next on Monday to get appointment for him. I live in Spain and the system is soo different. Has your son's testicle come down since his birth? Thx luv and your babyboy is in my prayers💕
Don't get worried because you'll go crazy. I would talk to your pediatrician immediately though.@maxs_mommy80,
@junesmommy15, my son has the same problem. He is 5months and one of his testicles hasnt come down yet. But it has come down little since he was born. They told me in the hospital that they going to see what happens but no one told me anything of these what I'm reading. Should I have him checked? Im getting really worried now and wondering why I havent been informed about it.
They told me they'd give him 6 months then surgery sane as you
Thanks ladies@liamandaria @momofroyalty Right I had never heard of it until I found out my son had the problem. I'm seeing that It's common now and that makes me feel so at ease.@ncorso214,
My 3 year old had that and he had surgery at 1 to put his testicle in place plus close a hernia. I was freaking out when I first found out because he was only 3 weeks old but it was a very simple procedure and he's perfectly fine now. It's also apparently extremely common but until I had a son that had it I had no idea that could even happen. Good luck with everything! @junesmommy15
I'm praying for you love. hold your head up and know that God is a healer and a way maker even when drs say no God says yes.@junesmommy15,
im praying for you and baby love@junesmommy15
It could look like that sometimes. It's probably one there though.@dasia,
they said my son has one but the other didn't drop but it seems like none of them didn't drop @junesmommy15
I'm going to look into that today. Thank you.@tae23, Thank you so much. I've been worried about this and needed to hear it for a long time.@cuety83,
@junesmommy15, my nephew was born with both testicles undescended, at first they couldn't find them and thought heay have been a hermaphrodite! We were devastated! Then they found them pretty high up. He was followed by a specialist. Eventually one dropped when he was about 2, the other they thought dropped but when he was 8 he had appendicitis and through ultrasound found it hadn't, so he had the procedure done, which was very minor. You can't even see a scar and recovery was quick! Its actually very common. He's 13 now and perfectly healthy! It'll be okay, sending prayers your way!
I would see if you can get referred to one. he could tell you more in depth second opinion about it and give you a better timeline on waiting and whatnot. especially cause they only deal with children. (: @junesmommy15
My husband had that surgery as an infant without any issues and we are now expecting our first :-)
No I just have a surgeon who has dealt with these issues.@tae23,
my son doesn't have that issue but has another penile issue. have they referred you to a pediactric urologist??? @junesmommy15
I'm glad they finally figured it out for you. @momma588 I've heard it's pretty common but me being a first time mom is not cutting it.
no. the drs never even said anythi,g to me that he had this issue. until he had his yearly check up for school. @preggie_usa
your very welcome. I'm here if you need anything. it's good they noticed this issue with your son. before it became to late.
I never even heard of this until recently lol. I had to look it up on Google. lol. I couldn't physically be there with my son when he had the surgery. so as a mommy. it was difficult. but now he's able to his normal activities. @junesmommy15
@momma588, did your doctor tell you to wait until he was older?
Thank you so much!!!! @momma588 I've been needing to hear this for almost 4 months now.
praying for you honey. my 10 year old son just had surgery a few weeks ago. for the same problem. so I know what your going through. he's doing fine. and was just really sore for a few days.
God bless you and your family. 😘

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

Does this look like a dog? If so, what kind? Someone posted it on a lost dog Facebook page and said that she is very skinny and looks like she's been on her own for a while. She kind of looks like a baby fox or coyote to me.
