How to Handle Overstaying In-Laws Before Baby Arrives?
My husband's Dad has been staying with us, in Lynlee's room of course... He started getting sick (severe arthritis) and a couple months ago my husband told him he could stay here, as long as he was out by September so we could get the baby's room done. Well he is getting sicker & he is still here. My husband keeps hinting around to him, and his dad says that he's looking for a place. I'm overwhelmed because Lynlee could be here this month and literally nothing has gotten done in her room. We were gonna rip the carpet up, sand & stain the floor and we were going to paint before doing anything else.. Her room was going to be beautiful... Now I have to wait til his Dad leaves to do anything. I'm getting so jealous of all the beautiful nursery room pictures you ladies are posting.. I just want to start on my baby's room! 😩😭

That is a tough situation. Though in my experience, you won't be using the baby's room in the beginning anyway!! My son is 6 mo and still hasn't slept in there :)

i mean the guy is sick and getting worst. thats pretty messed up that the only thing u are concern with is the nursery. u could setup in your room or like she said move him in the living room. but i guess u having ur nursery setup in that room is more important then your father-in-laws health smh

@memeboo08, it's not that he isn't important & I didn't mean to come off as selfish... I think it's mainly my hormones talking anyway. I haven't even asked him about leaving & I won't because I don't have the heart to. He has his daughter (whom is 26) that is willing to move with him and help him out. Like I said, I think I'm just getting stressed out by everything at this point. I generally am super considerate, pregnancy is just making me crazy...

@lynleesmom115, take everything a day at a time thats the only thing u can do. it suck when we can control everything in our lifes thats happening to us. but just do wat u can and be Patience. 😊😊😊

I agree with @ligermama my babe's all slept in their bassinets in my room for a long time, so don't panic...

Just find a way to make it work for a bit longer, a pack and play or bassinet for babygirl will due until old man gets on his feet... God will bless you for your patience, agree with @memeboo08

I'd just tell him this weekend we are clearing it the bedroom to get started on the baby's room.
