I keep second guessing myself, I know I'm done having kids after this one. He is my second but first boy. I don't know if I should go through getting my tubes tied or not?? it just seems so invasive, unnatural and permanent! I don't know what to do??
@new_mami87, I will not try anything that would stay inside my uterus or vagina, that freaked me out every time the doctor suggested the ring or mirena. I can't even wear tampons unless I need to.
I'm on my fourth and at first I was dead set on getting my tubes tied then I started feeling depressed every time I would think about it so we have decided not to. we will just find other ways to prevent pregnancy again.
My gal pal in college had the nuva ring and it would come off on her "partner" so that was a little concerning. I have a coworker that had Mirena but because of her body it implanted into her incorrectly and hurt her and her hubby was able to feel it poke him. My boss has it and loves it. I want to try after baby comes next year. What about the reg. condoms with the assistance of spermicide lubricant?
@mila05052016, that's not too bad. I'll ask about that. Will insurance cover it?
I had it for a year and the only side effect I had was spotting for the first couple of months. everyone reacts differently but I would suggest you do some research and ask tons of questions before. personally I like it.
@mila05052016, I haven't tried the implant I am a little curious about it
Tried depo shot @new_mami87 was on it over a year and it made me sick too, plus its not good for long term use no BC really is and nuva ring freaks me out.
@jessnichole PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T TIE UR TUBES I'VE BEEN THERE... GO TO MY PROFILE I HAVE MY TUBES TIDE TUBAL REVERSAL STORY ON THERE.. ANY QUESTIONS HIT ME UP
If you get it checked on every couple months than it SHOULD be fine. That's weird tho :/
@adaline0914, one of my friends got pelvic inflammatory disease and I decided against that, but it would be good since there are no hormones.
You should do the mirena for BC. It's non hormonal so you shouldn't get sick from it
@tae23, tried the north control thing for a while after I had my daughter and stayed sick almost constantly. I don't want an IUD for sure. I may just be careful not to get pregnant again but I may accidentally get pregnant that way.
@tae23, the procedure itself scares me. I know 2 kids are plenty for me and my husband. I might not do it, my Dr even tried talking me out of it.
My fiance is going a vasectomy after I'm done with this pregnancy. We are both 100% sure we are done with kids. (This will be my 3rd and his 2nd) Just be 100% sure you're done having kids before doing anything that'll make you not be able to get pregnant again.
