I finally got my free breast pump through my insurance the other day! It's the Medela Pump in Style double breast pump! Had a dream last night that I used it and was successful! It was weird but I really hope this works out well for baby and me! She's my third baby but I haven't breastfed yet! Really looking forward to it! Fingers crossed!
@babymckynlee, no worries...lol
we all have it. lmfao... at least you gave me the name of the company lol
@babyhawkins2015, you should be able to find the contact info online maybe I can't remember what I did with it sorry, pregnancy brain lol
@hippiegardenmama, this is my third girl too! Girls are great aren't they? And thanks good luck to you as well, I'll keep u posted, still have sometime, not much but some 😊
Fingers crossed girl! I'm on baby 3-same as you haven't been able to feel either girl so far so I hope the same let me know
@babymckynlee, ugh...must be different for each insurance company. I have united health care... I tried to order through edgepark about 4 weeks ago and then I got an email saying they would send a form to me to fill out in November???? my insurance covers it free also...maybe I'll try to go through care centrix too. I hate waiting lol
@adaline0914, thanks for the tips as well I hope I can do it successfully
@mickbaby, thanks for the assurance I'm a little nervous but I'm determined
@karnawest, thanks I plan on being headstrong and determined about it bc I've never gotten to do it and I always wanted to but bc of family and the fathers I wasn't allowed, my bf this time around supports me fully with wanting to breastfeed
@babyhawkins2015, I have Cigna and ordered mine through Care Centrix, they made me wait until I was 28 weeks but it was completely free
I got the same one! I love it! I suggest getting more bottles and stuff for it so u don't have to wash bottles every time u pump lol and Advice for breastfeeding though. Like Pp said, stick with it and don't give up. It is tough the first week or two but I promise it gets better, do not give formula supplement and no pacifiers or bottles at all until you've established BF and it will be easier, I'm so glad I have stuck with it.
I got the same one through my insurance! Use it around the clock for the past week since I had my son and it's awesome!
@babymckynlee, who'd you go through? I requested mine through edgepark and they are making me wait til November (I guess since my insurance covers it)
@babymckynlee You have to be very committed to it. At first you feel like it's not working but stay with it it gets easier. Drink water, more then you ever have in your life. Nurse told me up to 2 gallons of water a day. A good diet and eating a lot of snacks is a must you burn anywhere from 500-800 extra calories a day producing milk. High protein diet with lots of good fats is the best diet to be on for BH. Get you some Mother's Milk tea that will help with production.
@karnawest, good to know, heard it's nice, but I've never breast fed so I have no idea what I'm getting myself into
I really like it. It will never extract like a baby will but it works pretty good!
That's what I chose through my insurance too!! I am actually BH successfully this time around!!
@babyhawkins2015, I try my best lol
