I dunno...everything just seems to have a flip side to it for me...I would think more than just minimal injuries for something the size of a school bus actually flipping over-that would take a lot of force.
I believe the risk might be greater to have seat belts in them. I'm sure there's tests that are ran but imagine the bus flipping over, it would be easier to have the children be able to exit themselves with, hopefully, minimal injuries than to have to go in to help trapped children hanging upside down from the seats.
Buses are designed to take most of the impact in the event of a collision. Big accidents (like going over a bridge or driving into water) are different. I was in a bus accident as a kid and had I been seated properly I wouldn't have been injured.
Just a couple weeks ago there was a school bus accident. Went over the bridge. It was sssoooo sad. I believe one or two children died. But I remember when I was in school these buses had the Sekt belts. Guess they took them out smh
It would be hard for the driver to try and get every student out in time if something were to happen. A bus is actually one of the safer thing you can ride in. (My step-mom drives a school bus)
