What is up with insurances not covering circumcision?! They claim because it isn't medically necessary but I know FOUR grown adult men who got it done as adults because of the issues it caused for them. . .

My insurance covered it when I had my son I think it just depends on the insurance
it depends on your doctor; some will do them right after birth in the hospital, others wait a week or two and do it in office. You receive a bill usually.
@sarahemccormick, jeez....that's insane. when did you pay it before you left the hospital? i dont know when they even do the circumcision
didn't cover either of my sons, either. Cost $300 out of pocket each.
really?! I also have medicaid.... but I just called and they said it isn't covered . I need to find a branch that does.
It didn't cover my sons last year but my sister and my best friend had their babies recently and they were both covered by medicaid
