Okay, I'm rested and ready so here's my labor story. On August 27th I went in for my monthly appointment and an anatomy scan. During my ultrasound a doctor was called because they could see that my cervix was already 1 cm dilated. I was 24 weeks at the time. So I was taken to l&d and given medicine to try and close my cervix, but it didn't work so I was rushed to the hospital in El Paso, TX because they were the closest hospital with a nicu that could handle babies born under 32 weeks. After three weeks in the hospital I had dilated to 3-4 cm and I started having contractions. I have to have the terbutaline shot six times, but after the last time it stopped working, and I dilated all the way to 6-7 cm so they decided to deliver. Luckily the baby had gained enough weight that she could be delivered safely. So I was taken to a delivery room, and given an epidural (which is awesome. I recommend it) and I had my water broken. I almost had to have a c-section because she wasn't moving when I pushed, but by the fourth contraction she was out. I didn't get to see her too well before they rushed her to the nicu, but I've been able to see her there and she's doing very well. She's already breathing on her own, but she will likely have to spend the next few months here before I can bring her home. Thank you all for your prayers :)
