I would definitely do that before your next appointment. You trusted them when you told them about your past and it's completely unprofessional for them to hold it against you the way they have. It would be one thing if they ask kindly but they're not, they're threatening you and making you stressed out!

Good :) addiction in most eyes is looked at like a weakness. But to be a "recovering" addict takes to much strength! I look at my past and honestly, I think I will be a better and smarter mother than I would have been if I had not gone through some of the things I had to go through! You are going to be a great mother! The people who judge you are just ignorant and don't know any better. I know it's hard with these hormones to not let it get to you, especially since the person judging you is supposed to be the most supportive right now! If you have to get her again, let us preggies know! Maybe we can help you come up with something to say that's calm but gets the message across that what she is saying is not ok :/ hang in there momma!

First off Congrats to all you ladies for getting everything together @aboutellesbabe @angelbaby232004 @sktraum 👏👏👏. I applaud you all. Don't let her negativity make you feel any kind of way. I bet you will be a great mother. We can't change how people think or feel so don't allow it to be relevant. Sounds like she needs more training on sensitivity when dealing with people. @sktraum, well and that's the thing is she is like the only one that does other than one other midwife in the practice but I already told them I don't want to be seen by the other one and ya it is wrong and I'm sick and tired of it. And thank you!!@mommieslittleprincess @aboutellesbabe ya I plan on telling them I don't want to be seen by her again because I'm uncomfortable with her. And yea I get that I came up positive once for pot but it's not like it was crack or meth. @madaleysophia and I agree with you I don't feel comfortable being in the office anymore @hillenburgm trust me I always am it just makes you feel like shit after all the hard work you have done to become a better person and you get it thrown in your damn face all the time @shortiebs they don't treat you like you're human it makes you hate yourself even more sometimes. And I already got someone different for the next few appointments thank god.

I have never struggled with addiction but i have loved ones who had and i think from the outside you assume threatening and preaching will prevent the addiction. You end up treating the addict like they arent human. A lot of people (myself included) dont understand addiction. Best option like @aboutellesbabe, said is to get someone who can understand

Just continue to stay clean and drug free. They can't take your baby or do anything if you are drug free. Try not to stress to much over it. State that you aren't comfortable with that midwife and would like to see another one.

@aboutellesbabe, I'm definitely thinking about it I'm going to ask to not go back to her ever again because she is like the only one that does that to me in the practice I'm about to talk to the boss at the practice and tell them that this is not ok for someone to feel like this because I was honest about my past. And thank you I definitely will message you or something because I'm beyond down in the dumps I broke down after my appt and my baby daddy is so mad at my midwife for it

That is not professional or right at all. You should request to be seen by someone else who will give you the care you deserve

I didn't realize how far along you are. Might be difficult to switch practices now. Hm is there any way you can specifically request the other midwives from here on out? I really hate the fact that she threatened you and your child with cps! Makes me want to have a talk with this woman..

I'm a recovering addict too and all my Drs know that. None of them give me shit about it but they make sure that I don't get prescribed any narcotics. That's just wrong of her to throw it in ur face cuz people don't realize how hard it is to STAY sober. I'm an addict of 21 years, just had my 2 year birthday. Good job on ur sobriety!

@shortiebs, she knows she is stressing me out she does not care my baby daddy is pissed at her I'm over it I get where she is coming from but that makes me like not want to tell people my past history so I don't get fucking judged because of it. They would not be giving me so much shit if they didn't know. I know some of my friends who are pregnant and don't get any shit for smoking weed their whole pregnancy but yet here I am getting shit and I am so beyond over it.
