This ain't pregnancy related but I'm very worried about my dog. She won't eat hard dog food or the soft and moist kind. She will only eat the cans of the wet dog food and gourmet meal dog food that's in a can. And she won't drink water. She hasn't gained any weight and she looks super skinny. I really want her to eat her regular dog food. How can I help her put meat on her bones. She's half chihuahua so Ik she won't get to fat but like she's super skinny rite now.

She's definitively old enough to get parvo. Dogs that are 5 years old can still get it even if they've been vaccinated before.
That's not right... At 6-7 weeks of age they receive their first set of shots to prevent it but if she's 3 months old she has every possibility of contracting it. Parvo is spread by contact, so for example if she was around another dog or puppy that carried it or if she went outside on the grass anywhere where the contamination might be then she's at risk for it. It's usually spread when people walk their dogs and don't realize their sick and the virus survives on the surface from the poop for quite awhile and the next dog or puppy contracts it
@momtog89, yes she has. @ftmbabyboy11 yea I had given her Gatorade and I'm going to give her sum pedialite in the morning wen I get it from my moms. I'm just so scared cuz she's not gaining weight. And I asked my vet about parvo and they said she was to young to get the vaccine but all the dogs I've know that died of it had been young... Do uk how they get parvo?
@vondab490, Okay, if she's drinking something then that is good, but if it gets to the point where she will not drink at all, I've had a dog that was sick with Parvovirus before and we gave him syringes full of non flavored pedialyte and it kept him hydrated. Also make sure she recieves all of her shots because thats how my dog once got parvo.
@mommytoaz, thanks I'll try that. I tried mixing it with the gourmet meal things and she will just spit the hard food out.
okay so she's still kinda young what i did with my puppy was put the hard food in water so it could soften some then i mixed it with wet food @vondab490
@momtog89, yea my vet told me to give her water with the Gatorade in it till she can c her Friday and @ftmbabyboy11 she will only drink the water with Gatorade in it. She hasn't lost weight she's just not gaining any.
@mommytoaz, I've tried that and she eats around the hard food Lbvs and she's about 3 months old and she's been drinking milk but I last gave her water this morning and she took like 2 drinks and never touched it again.
Any dog that is not drinking water needs to see a vet ASAP. She can become very dehydrated and could possibly die... Not trying to scare you but it's serious. If she weren't eating that would be an issue but if she's lost weight and will not drink water you need to get her seen by a vet.
Dogs don't really need to drink milk. Water is best. Sometimes Gatorade when they're sick.
@momtog89, she is drinking milk and she will drink water if it has a little of the clear Gatorade in it. Im gonna take her to the vet on Friday cuz that's wen I get paid cuz I just bought a lot of stuff I needed for my baby.

Does this look like a dog? If so, what kind? Someone posted it on a lost dog Facebook page and said that she is very skinny and looks like she's been on her own for a while. She kind of looks like a baby fox or coyote to me.

I have a puppy that is like 5 months old and she won't eat!! She's really skinny and I feel really bad! I give her food all te time. I even gave her dog food mixed with brown gravy to soften it up cuz I thought maybe she don't like hard food but she still won't eat anything!! Wat do i do??

She got off her chain today and when she came back she had a huge gash on her inner thigh of her back leg. It is bloody and super gross. You can see the meat in her thigh. Nobody can get her in tonight and the places that can first thing tomorrow want like $1000. I don’t have that kind of money, at all! What can I do for her?
