confession time: I had a few puffs of a cig last night. I'm only 5w4d and I feel so damn guilty. I was feeling stressed out and so I caved but after 3 puffs I realized that what I was doing is so not worth it and how upset I will be if something happens as a result to the baby. I guess the good news is I couldn't and didn't finish it but the bad news is I feel weak for caving in. I promised myself I will not do that again. I had gone 13 days without one.

@tchrmama13, we all have weaknesses.. don't beat yourself up about it. I won't lie, I've periodically had a puff here and there throughout this pregnancy. I feel guilty too...but I know where I came from in terms of my smoking habits. So...where I am today is much much better than I was before pregnancy.

We all make mistakes. I smoked up until my third trimester and finally made myself quit. I still want one all the time but if I can go this long, when pick it up now? Not buying them and making sure you keep yourself away from them as much as possible might help. My second day of not smoking was the worst. If I can make it through that then why turn back? Everyone makes mistakes. Don't beat yourself up momma

that's a good way to think I just was doing so well...I was at a pack a day! then bam, nothing. so thanks for your thinking

I understand completely, @tchrmama13. Try getting more fruits and veggies. Also, keep minty gum on you at all times. Try and stay active and keep your mind occupied. Eventually you'll notice yourself forgetting you even want one. lol.

i feel smoking is a mind thing sometimes (like when you're stressed) before i was pregnant i smoked up to 2 packs a day, the day i found out i went cold turkey, it was reallllly hard but then i just kind of channeled my energy and thoughts else where when I'd want a cigarette, when i would occupy my time with something worth doing i had forgotten all about it. & once you get used to it you'll feel like you've accomplished a major thing, especially if you incorporate the money spent into it. that its self made me NEVER wanna pick the nasty habit up again lol i spent $400 a month on cigarettes and i smoked 5 years 😫, we all make mistakes & fall short to temptation so don't beat yourself up mommy 😀😊 @tchrmama13
