If you are taking a prenatal you should be fine. Baby gets nutrition from that. I could barely eat the first half of my pregnancy and baby was still in the 90% for growth at 18 weeks. (I have also been told by doctors that they are parasites. They will take what they need before you get it. Lol)
I believe that at 5 weeks your baby isn't getting nutrients from the things you eat yet
Short periods of hunger shouldn't be an issue. If you are suffering from malnutrition, that is a problem. You need to at least be taking your prenatals! And eating lots of protein, especially in the beginning when you are growing the placenta!
Thanks gals! I do take my prenatal tabs daily. I am about 5-6 weeks now. Next week is my first ultrasound (hopefully) and I was at work waiting for my food delivery. My hunger pains are so terrible lately and I don't want to neglect the baby
