Yea it's like that for the first 6 weeks but u also have to be sure he is latched on properly if not they get raw but Breast milk will help heal them too! But to soothe them try the gel pads or like u said freezing the Breast pads with some cream lol saves money!

@ginag918, thanks I'll try those! I have regular breast pads maybe I'll try to freeze them with some nipple butter on them,lol. Oliver will be 4 weeks on tuesday , it's not that my nipples are cracked or bleeding . they hurt like they are on fire and are red and raw from him sucking so aggressively :-(

Those nipple gel pads, coat them with some of your Breast milk too! But depending on how old baby is it's going to hurt the first month or so anyway
