Tips to increase breastmilk supply? It seems like I'm running dry and I've only been breastfeeding for 3 weeks.
mother's milk tea (6 cups a day) I hated the taste so I added honey
Just keep pumping don't stop pumping once there isn't any milk coming out, your telling your body that is enough if you stop, if you keep pumping even if there isn't anything or a small amount coming out you are telling your body it needs to produce more. Pump then offer the breast then pump some more.
No just keep pumping. Your flow stops & then starts back up. I watch mine do it every time I pump. It'll stop completely then I'll look back down & its squirting out like crazy! Also, I sort of press & massage my breast while I'm pumping & I notice more comes out then too! I get about 12 ounces when I pump but it takes me about 30 mins so dnt give up just keep it on there!
If you're still worried just ask her doctor when you take her for her check up. ☺️ I know it's scary being a ftm!!
Yeah, the same thing was going on with me and I was worried just like you. I'm also a ftm. But apparently that's normal bc babies can't eat much at one time when they're that little. But they digest breast milk fast. So they eat less, more often. As long as your baby is gaining weight he/she is eating enough.
What if it just stops coming out while I'm pumping? I only get about 2 oz and then have to wait an hour or so before anything else will come out. @theredheadchic
Increase the number of times & length of time u pump. The more u pump the more you'll produce.
I always alternate and pump both sides and always alternate breasts when she's nursing but I can only get about 2 oz each time I pump and then I'm like bone dry and nothing else will come out for a while. I'm a ftm so not sure if that's normal but it worries me that she isn't getting as much milk as she needs or that I'll just run out all of a sudden. @jacksonsmommy72415
