@raehow, if it's one you were looking at buying and has that date it's probably used and that's also never recommend. If you can't afford one on the market there are lots of programs that help people get new seats.

@queendavis, it should say it either on one of the sides or the bottom. It's normally on a sticker AND printed into the plastic so the date can always be found

No you can not use after that date. The plastic and other parts in the seat start to break down after a certain amount of time (that date) and it's unsafe to use after that point.

Exactly, you are suppose to get a new one when it reaches that month of that year

Curious because I was about to buy one but I won't have my baby until feb. that wouldn't really be a smart purchase, would it?

The expiration date I would think?? I'm not positive but normally the dates on them are when they expire

It expires in October of 2016. You're good for another year.
