So, I had to have blood test done today bc the doctor thinks I have preeclampsia.... Like for real I have been saying my feet hurt and are so swollen for how long now... You know my blood pressure has been super high and I haven't been able to breath good at all. My due date was yesterday and no sign of labor at all... There making me wait till Thursday to find out the results and to tell me what to do from there if my daughter isn't born by then.... Urg I am telling you I am one pissed off annoyed mommy to be!!!!!

They also wanted to induce me because of it, but my baby came 3 days before. I don't see how they are allowing you to stay pregnant at 40 weeks with high blood pressure! Start raising hell or get a second opinion!!

That's insane, @aprilcgutkopf!! I developed gestational hypertension with my first pregnancy around 37 weeks and they put me on bed rest so quick, sent me home with a blood pressure monitor, had a nurse call me two times a day to get my readings, made me come in for a bunch of NSTs, kept taking my urine and do weird pee tests with a jug thing lol.... they were on it and I didn't have pre-e and my blood pressure was only slightly elevated. Blood pressure complications are very serious and can lead to stillbirth if not monitored. What the hell is wrong with your doctor?!

Yeah that would be so frustrating :( my doctor watched me closely and sent me up to the hospital a few times because of my blood pressure and all that. I started having cramping under my ribs and having breathing problems and so I got induced at 38 weeks so my son was at least considered full term. Maybe before you get your tubes tied wait it out and go to a different doctor next time, from experiencing preeclampsia I understand why you're so upset though.

My doc induced me at 36 weeks because of my blood pressure. I thought that was a greag reason not to wait

@momma_lazarus I am so annoyed I know for a fact after the pain I have been through with this pregnancy I am never getting pregnant again. Thinking about getting my tubs tied.

Ugh! Horrible. I had preeclampsia with my son, I was miserable! My doctor told me once you have it once you're more likely to get it again with your pregnancies. So fingers crossed for this pregnancy and for you!!

That sounds really dangerous! Did they have you on bed rest at least with your high blood pressure?
