🚨🚨LADIES PLEASE! I have seen so many people say "it's normal for babies to slow down, they run out of room"..this is NOT TRUE! Decreased movement can be a sign of distress. If something is going wrong the first thing babies tend to do is stop moving to preserve energy. If you feel like movement has been decreased you should call your doctor IMMEDIATELY! It is always better to be safe, go in and get checked than to have something devastating happen. ссылка

@aek91, Decreased movement and no movement can both be bad and aren't normal. I'm sorry if I confused you. My son hasn't stopped moving and his movement also hasn't changed from 5 weeks ago and he's at least 2lbs heavier from then. And I still don't believe they "run out of room". Any doctor that I have seen during both of my pregnancies have never said that babies run out of room.

you said decreased movement not movement stopping altogether which is what you're saying in your comments soooo? your doctor should tell you to start counting movements once you're farther along. my son's movements weren't the same when he was 25 to what they were when he was 38 weeks but he was perfectly fine when he was born. the same with all of my kids. I don't think people are giving false information because they actually do run out of room. you think an 8 pound baby can move the same as a 1 pound baby?? JS.

Babies do actually run out of room. My friend was so small before she got pregnant she had to deliver at 31 weeks because her daughter had no more room to grow, but as you get further a long the movements do become less. As long as you're still feeling them more than 10 times a day you're alright. Anything less than that you should call your doctor. Also, if you are ever at all worried about your baby in general not moving to much call your doctor ASAP. Just a little extra information. Not an attack on anyone. Not trying to start drama.

towards the end of my pregnancy i noticed my son my son wasnt as active. my dr wasnt too concerned but I went to see a specialist ( due to him measuring three weeks behind on a ultrasound at 36 weeks) and they found that he had very little blood flow through his umbilical and little fluid around him. we were sent to l&d that day bc we were told it would be dangerous to wait.

@tibi2696, Exactly! It's so scary because I see it all day long on here and I would hate for something to happen because another mother gave false information.

The doctors I went to always took decreased movement seriously and I honestly think people should stop telling worried moms that no movement is ok, let the doctor make sure for themselves. The movements aren't as big later on in pregnancy but they shouldn't stop.

@yahuahsdaughter, yeah it's normal for their movements to change, so instead of kicks they turn into more rolls but they shouldn't stop moving, that's bad.

i agree. when i was pregt with my first the kicks never decreased until i was 40 weeks and thats because she couldn't move around but i still felt her shifting position and pushing me with her legs and elbows. her kicks actually increased as the weeks went by.
