Thanks so much for all of that. I really appreciate all the advice because I really have no clue what to expects. And I'm a little nervous since this is my first time experiencing any of this. And since I'm the oldest of my sisters I'm the first to go through this lol.

but yes i agree with packing it soon that say you will get it off your mind and relax, you can always add stuff as you think about it. even though i say dont sweat the other stuff cause you mostly just need the bare necessities, it won't cost you to bring extra stuff as long as hubby is the one carrying it who cares lol. as long as your mind is at ease.

lol i remembered i even brought a lavander massage oil so my hubby could massage my back and legs while having the contractions. lol we didn't even get to use it because when those hard contraction come you can't even be still. and i didn't even want him to touch my body cause it made the pain worse. at that last minute when you are pushing you won't want anyone near your body because its like your bones are coming apart. the best advice i can give is to learn and practice those breathing and pushing/isolating your kegel muscles techniques. becahse because when you need to push that baby out thats all you will be thinking about. i had practiced a lot so my baby came out in a short time and i was able to control my pain somewhat by the pushing/breathing rhythm. also dont let them tell yiu which position to take, you will know which one by how your body feela. you are the boss when you are giving birth. wish you the best girl.

and when you are in labor you forget everything you brought and just want to push that baby out.

hmmm i packed so many things girl i dont think i left anything but in the end i didn't use most of it. well one thing i was really glad to bring was the flameless battery powered candle and lavander spray. after birth it helped me feel more at home in the hospital room and at night when it was all dark and lonely also. i wished i would have brought a birthing ball to sit on while i was having the contractions but was not dilated enough, perhaps it would have helped a bit but maybe i was not even going to be able to sit on it anyways..who knows.. ive heard some moms birth with music also it would have been nice to have tried having some relaxation music but i had forgotten it. lol overall those things i would have liked trying probably would not have helped much and where not necessary.

i packed mine at 38-39w. but i knew in my heart my girl was going to be late.

don't get to worried about the hospital bag, when i went to labor i had overpacked so much stuff and at the end all i used where the bare necessities like baby receiving clothes and blanket, your going out clothes and personal hygiene items

@mariahwhit, it was scary and I felt so unprepared . My SO did an okay job packing me a bag but he's a man lol he didn't get everything I felt I needed !

Pack it soon :) You never know what might happen ! I was going to pack mine when I got home from my 32 week appointment but I never made it home was transferred to Tacoma General for severe preeclampsia and delivered him the next day ! I had nothing and my SO had to bring me stuff up !
