I had my first 2 natural and it really wasn't that bad. My third one I was in labor for a while and couldn't sleep so got the epidural to help me relax. I didn't have a rough recovery with either way. Like other people have said go in with an open mind and do what's best and comfortable to you. You can do it either way!

yes definitely much easier recovery! also I felt ny baby coming out of the birth canal and it was honestly an amazing feeling! I also loved habing control of moving my legs while pushing. with my daughter I was so numbed that I couldnt even lift my legs in the leg support things. hated that!

@mamalamadingdong, that's my thing, if I have to then I have to. I'm trying to be super chill about it all. @steffiepaige , that's what I'm talking about. more natural the birth the more natural the healing process! it's just such a daunting thing to think about!

@jenkobe8348, why thank you love 😊 I wouldn't say I was strong. I was just to scared of the epidural so I rather take the pain 🙅💁

It's good to have a goal and be determined, but I also think it's important to have an open mind and not beat yourself up over it if labor doesn't go the way you planned. Especially with you first child when you have NO idea what to expect!

first two births i tried going naturally but hot the epidural finally at 9cm with my first and then 6cm with my second (i induced with her) my third and longest labor (21 hours) I went all finally went all naturally! I can handle the contractions till the transition which I always tense up and get scared but I finally puahed through and relaxed through it because of my amazing hubby and 3 pushes he was out 😊 your recovery is a thousand times better too believe me. definitely going naturally again😊

I tried to do no epi, but I had back labor with my first so I ended up giving in right before it was too late. This time, I'm not going to be hard on myself about it and just see how I feel and how much I can take.

It's really mind over matter. You have to retrain the way you and your brain view birth. It's not a scary medical event. It's a beautiful and natural part of life. Women have been doing it for centuries without meds and they survive and do it again and again. Your body is fully equipped to handle the process, pain included.

You know, women are giving birth for a long time. If everybody else could do it, you can do it too. The best thing you can do is stop worrying and learn how to relax during labor. I'm going to try to relax in the hot tub during my labor. Hope it'll help

I have had an epi with my oldest and my middle I had all Natural no choice there was no time for the epi, & to be honest I would do it all over again! Yes it's painful as all hell but so worth it! If you keep telling yourself you can do it you can, I did it no pain meds pushed twice and my son was out! You can do it!
