Serious question ladies! Can walking up and down 3 stories of stairs every day increase my chances of going into labor early? I live on the 3rd floor with no elevators and I'm getting scared that it's too much for my body now (34 weeks). I'm a ftm and I take my daughters to school everyday, going down isn't an issue besides my slight phobia of slipping on the stairs, but when it's time to go back up I get tired and out of breath every 3-4 steps. By the time I reach the top floor I sometimes feel this weird pain and movements in my pelvis and I start to think my water may break. My landlord wont give me another unit until after I have my baby and I just don't know what to do. I'm not high risk and my weight and everything else is great. I just don't want to have this baby until I pass 37 weeks being that I had 2 prior high risk/ preterm births.

@squeakpipsmommy0607, I will do so at my next appointment which will be on Monday, I'm just curious at this point being that I've never went into labor on my own and I don't know what to expect

from what I've heard, and this mostly had to do with moms who were barcode into fitness, if it's something your body is already used to doing all the time before you get pregnant, then its not a problem during pregnancy. like they tell you not to do heavy lifting but if it's something you were already used to it wouldn't hurt. I would still talk to your doctor though. and maybe consider asking a friend or family member to help you get your girls back and forth from school.

@maxx, Thanks because I usually am very active before and during pregnancy but all this baby weight is killing my hips and back and puts me out of breath even with light movements. I think I'm having a big baby this time but I've only gained 32 pounds so far which I feel is great compared to my last 2 pregnancies where I gained 50 pounds each time
