So this may sound stupid but I really don't no... I'm a ftm mom it's all new to me, so if you pump an get breast milk an then either freeze or save it for later how exactly do you heat it up? An like if you carry it around with you in a cooler when going somewhere how does that work?

@kmrie you're welcome and you also can sit the bag in a cup of hot water or sit it out before the feeding since you will have a schedule

@kmrie yes that's what they did for my daughter when I had her even though it was 8 years ago I don't think to much have change.

Warm water or a bottle warmer, never in the microwave because it kills good enzymes. Never shake breastmilk, always swirl it if you have to mix it. I always just nursed my daughter when I went places, never used bottles..to much of a pain in the ass when you can just lift your shirt and be done. My daughter only got bottles if I was at work.

And I always did this so nobody ever knew I was nursing. I never used an actual cover, just always did the 2 shirt method.

@klachappelle, thanks that's helpful aswell an yes I plan on nursing aswell but if the baby doesn't latch then the bottle will have to do @afa2015 ftm means first time mom @klachappelle good idea! Lol

Make sure you see a lactation consultant before you leave the hospital, they all usually have one and they can be a HUGE help @kmrie

http://kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mother/mastitis/ I would also read through that if you plan on breastfeeding. I was lucky and never had any problems but it's good to know the symptoms to look for if it does happen.
