I'm gonna be 3 weeks postpartum tomorrow 😁 I didn't have any tear or complications during my labor so I don't really feel sore anymore. When did you mommies go back to the gym/or have sex?

Very important to wait even if you stopped bleeding I still feel like u should wait to be sure you okay at least! Myself personally I'm 8wks postpartum and still no sex and I been healed since my 4 wk check up, no rush especially with my newborn baby!!
@queendavis, Agree! And honestly I would rather cuddle my adorable newborn then be worrying about sex or working out. There's time for that. Let your body heal, it just did an awesome exhausting thing!
They don't tell you to refrain from working out and intercourse because complications and tearing, they tell you to refrain from it because there's a giant hole in your uterus from where your placenta was attached and it needs time to heal. If you have sex too soon you could risk getting a dangerous infection that could harm you and even complicate ever getting pregnant again. And as for working out its the same, you don't want to strain your body, it's been through so much and it really needs time to heal. Six weeks is the proper wait time for sex and working out, and that's only if your OB clears you at your six week appt. Yes women have had sex and went to the gym before six weeks and been perfectly fine, but there's also women who've had dire complications because of it. Just be careful and give your body time to heal. It's so important. 😊
It's mainly up to you but the doctor usually wants you to wait 6 weeks.....nobody has time for that if you feel your ready for sex have some sex but the gym I would wait until they give you the go ahead
