Breastfeeding acts as a pretty good birth control for about the first six months but it isn't a sure thing at ALL! I got pregnant while breastfeeding and wasn't even having periods. You don't need a period to be ovulating though. So it's possible to get pregnant.

I'm EBF & I have had sex since I was 5 weeks pp & I'm not on birth control I'm almost 8 months pp & still no period I read in line that EBF acts as birth control up to months

It can act as birth control but it is NOT 100%... Not even close. Definitely use protection until you're using reliable birth control!! Unless you want Irish twins ;)

It appears that it is. It's just super birth control so at worst it might affect your supply a little (so would pregnancy lol) but it's safe for baby!
