has anyone taken Zofran during there pregnancy the doctors perscibed it to me and I keep hearing all this stuff so I refuse to take it anymore I'll just puke everywhere idc lol
I took it early 😢 cause I was loosing weight and couldn't move I had no energy cause I couldn't eat
is mostly dangerous in early pregnancy, i took it around month 5 because i had a stomach virus.
my baby is perfectly fine
I was scared just like you but I was losing so much weight from not eating and throwing up 6 x a day. I broke down and started to take it and man. . it limited the amount of times at first then it all together just took it away. I haven't thrown up in like a month almost thanking god. I've asked this question to a few women and they've said that they've taken it with their children and they've grown up to be healthy babies
this pill works wonders I only take the 4mg pill and I take it once a day and it works all day I don't think I would have made it without it I just don't want to cause any harm to my peanut
It does work, and I took it a couple times, but the side effect of headaches turned out to be worse than the nausea for me. I took unisom and b6 every night, that's what fixed my morning sickness.
@aaquino, same here. It's such a shame cause it's helpful and some women , nothing else works for them at all. It's really a miracle drug. But once a pregnant lady hears someone say anything negative about it, they're gonna instinctively run the other direction. we are just trying to be cautious
@morgans_mommie, that's what I assumed was doctors wouldn't be allowing me to take if if they thought it would cause harm but I still get nervous lol 😕
@aaquino, I was taking it my whole pregnancy and didn't know. If I would've know I probably wouldn't have taken it. But my little man is just as healthy as can be.
They prescribed it to me my first trimester now I'm all nervous cause I've been taking it since about 7 or 8 weeks when they first gave it to me case I couldn't even drink water
The story about that was there were isolated events where birth defects occurred. The thing is that once they went back to research it, they could find virtually no correlation between taking zofran and the birth defects occurring. It then blew up because of the lawyers with the case trying to get more cases to make money. Which scientists and doctors tried to refute and put away, but it keeps getting out. Just like the 'vaccines causes autism' fight even though it was proven to be a made up stance. Long story shorter, if doctors didn't think it was safe or it did cause birth defects they would not be prescribing it as they do. I believe it's safe. My mother in law is one of the best OBGYN's in our area for the past 35 years. I trust her :)
I refuse taking it as well, wouldn't be on TV 📺 for no reason
I'm really not sure, I've just heard of a few women takin something different.
there are no known cases that it actually caused those effects. my sister & my step mom took Zofran throughout there WHOLE Pregnancy & NOTHING is wrong with my nieces or my little sister. I also take Zofran . they just recommend not taking it during the first trimester
@kaylareese26, why aren't they giving women that then if there are so many reports about Zofran makes no sense to me
There is an alternative to Zofran im not sure what it's called
Yea I keep seeing some scary things and I do realize it could be luck of the draw I'm just afraid to risk it so if I can make it without I'm gonna try to
I took it with all three of my pregnancies and my two kids came out perfectly fine. This time I only took it a few months didn't need it to long.
i did. i stopped i saw the commercials on how it affects your unborn.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I had the zofran pump for about 4-6 weeks. I have also been taking diclegis since my 6th week. I am still on it (taking minimum dosage 1x day). FYI: Diclegis is a category A drug. I haven't given birth, so I cannot personally testify to final outcome, but my doctors aren't concerned. Told me to stay on it. My son is growing quite nicely though.
