Do you have to wash everything before the baby comes? I know clothes are the necessity because they are on their skin for long periods of time, but what about receiving blankets or towels? None of the stuff is dirty.. Just store bought. What did you guys do?

you can also call the L&D department at your hospital and ask exactly what it is that they provide you with. just so you're 100% sure

yes, it's a little shirt, they don't recommend onsies till their umbilical cord falls off, mainly because the onsie could irritate it or even cause damage and rip it off. they provide you with a hat and pampers along with wipes. if you wanna take your baby the sponge bath they provide you with the stuff to do it.
they also provide you with nipple cream and a nipple shield (you have to ask for these things)
they provide you with a spray to numb you down there in case you rare as well as hemroids pads..
they give you disposable undies and pads (their pads are not comfy, may I suggest bringing your own, if you do make sure it's for heavy flows.)

@mssjudyk, ok I'll probably take my own and that's a good idea I actually got two from my baby shower so I'll def bring that. Also, kind of off topic (andd might be a stupid question) but do hospitals give the babies stuff to wear while they are staying there? I mean I have clothes but in case I'm not home when I go into labor or something? All these things are like racing through my mind haha
