Should I call the doctor?? I'm not sure if this is normal or not😕😔

Just looked this up for you. I just took a newborn care class and they said that infections are rare! But this seems to be a good guideline!

Def call your doctor about it. in my son's case it was fine it fell off like 3 days after he was born & it wasn't ready & after that happened it was bleeding like crazy not like leaking but enough to where it stained his shirts I cleaned it with alcohol religiously you gotta make sure you get in there with a qtip & let it air dry before you put her onesie on her

@kainesmadre, no it doesn't smell and it doesn't seem to bother her at all. No fever or anything.

my son had this same thing happen to his it wasn't infected tho I took him to the emergency room because I thought it was they told me it was normal & to clean it with alcohol & just make sure it was getting air

With mine I just left it alone. Our dr said just let it be . But that's definitely infected so call the pediatrician
