My friends have been amazing this pregnancy. I cannot wait to receive the crib next week ! But I have a question ... Do I need to purchase two mattresses for it ? It seems to sit a little far up ? Any help ?

The crib actually has a board underneath the mattress that will lift or lower the mattress

No, you do not need two mattresses. There is a spring board so to say that you can adjust for depth... While baby is small and not so mobile, I have mine on the highest level. Once baby gets bigger and starts sitting up, rolling over, etc, you can lower it.

It goes on the spring board, and then you put the mattress on top. The spring board thing is the same concept as a box spring for a regular bed (full, twin, queen, king)
